A tea fit for the king of the north, and blended for those defending the wall and held by the Sworn Brothers of the Night's Watch. Stay warm during the Long Watch with a rich and smooth flavour, reminescent of the exotic fruits of the Southern provinces. In fact, the fragrance is so strong that it mistakes you into thinking it contains fruit. Once brewed, the aroma softens significantly, although there is a faint scent of lychee, apricot and currant. A brisk character that is invigorating, Our Northerner tea has notes of a caramel-like sweetness in the distance and a wine-like quality. Supplied from Keemun, China this natural ancient forest congu black tea is a delectable staple which delivers an allure of comfort with a refreshing and slightly sweet finish. Our congu is also commonly used as a starter tea for making kombucha tea, perfect for that first cup in the morning, but would also make a nice tea for the afternoon as well. It takes well to the addition of milk and honey, should you wish to add it, but I found it rather good without these additions too. Also nice with a thin slice of lemon! 2019 Harvest - March 30.2018 Harvest - March 21. This is a seasonal blend ordered direct-from-farm and only available once a year in the spring. Pre-order begin in late February.
