Apply to be an Artist - 2020 Application Process Now Open!

Our mission, should you choose to accept it, is simple: we use our tea as a means to inspire geeky tea drinkers and showcase local geeky artists.

Each year we look for several Canadian artists to showcase their own unique art on our geeky teas. We GROW AND BLEND our teas to boldly go where no tea has gone before - creating conversation, culture, and sharing all the amazing local talent across our universe, and we want you to be a part of this adventure!

Each of our teas in 2020 will now come in beautiful recycled paper boxes or in biodegradable plant-based plastic with art designed by you!

call for geeky art!

Each October we open the submissions for artwork. We will announce the final selections by mid-January. Artists can submit up to two pieces that you feel best represent your style. We are looking at your work - originality, craftsmanship, composition, medium, consistency, not necessarily the subject. These do not need to be pop-culture or geek-culture related - every artist is welcome to apply!

Please do not create a new piece but provide us with a snapshot of your style from your current portfolio. Our panel of talented individuals and Patreons will select the semi-finalists and you will be notified mid-January.

Our commitment to you as an artist is to share your beautiful artwork on the front of one or two of our teas which are available throughout Ontario, and Canada. Each tea cover will have a run of over 500 pieces and you'll gain great exposure as we sell all across Canada! We will include your name and information right on the packaging and always share your information on our social media, website and marketing efforts.

Periodically, there are special calls for art for other Geek+Tea projects. If you would like to be notified please sign up for our newsletter that we use to send out our Call for Geeky Art announcements.

Our 2020 Call for Geeky Art deadline is December 31th, 2019 11:59PM. We will respond to all applicants by mid-January. If you are selected to be a semi-finalist, you will be given a variety of options and guidelines for submitting a sketch proposal for the final piece.

Please be sure to add "" to your e-mail whitelist. All responses to artists are made strictly by e-mail. It is important that your e-mail client not reject or filter out our response—otherwise you may miss an invitation to work with us.
